Terms of Service

By accessing or using Sonex ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Sonex is an online marketplace that connects music producers with artists. We provide a platform for producers to sell beat licenses and for artists to purchase and license beats for their musical projects.

To use certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

• You must provide accurate and complete registration information
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You may not share your account with others
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

If you register as a Producer, you agree to:

• Only upload content you own or have rights to sell
• Honor all license agreements with purchasers
• Not upload content that infringes on third-party rights
• Provide accurate descriptions and metadata for your beats
• Maintain professional conduct with customers

If you purchase beats on the Platform, you agree to:

• Use beats only within the scope of your license
• Provide proper credit as required by your license
• Not resell, redistribute, or share purchased beats
• Not claim ownership of beats beyond your license rights

All beat purchases include a license that defines the scope of permitted use. It is your responsibility to understand and comply with your license terms. License types and their specific terms are outlined on individual beat pages and in your purchase confirmation.

All prices are listed in Ghana Cedis (GHS). We use Paystack for payment processing. Producers receive payment after deduction of our platform fee (typically 15-20%). Withdrawal requests are processed within 3-5 business days.

Due to the digital nature of our products, all sales are final. However, we may consider refunds in cases of:

• Technical issues preventing download
• Significant misrepresentation of the product
• Duplicate purchases made in error

The Sonex platform, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-uploaded beats), is owned by Sonex and protected by intellectual property laws. User-uploaded content remains the property of the respective creators, subject to the licenses granted through sales.

You may not:

• Use the Platform for illegal purposes
• Upload malicious software or code
• Attempt to access other users' accounts
• Manipulate platform metrics or rankings
• Harass or abuse other users
• Circumvent platform fees or payments

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Terminated accounts may lose access to purchased content and pending earnings.

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or specific results from using our services.

Sonex shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
